Core charge – the deposit value of the item payable at the time of purchase but refunded when a rebuild-able core is submitted. This charge generally applies (but not limited to):

all versions of turbo (or super charged),

transfer cases,

Full credit applies only to those matching model and part numbers of the same obtained from us. Problems are rare with these refundable deposits. Feel free to contact the parts department prior to any purchase should you have any concerns.

All components identified as a core source should be:

Shipped for a return to Engine Nexus LLC within 30 days of initial purchase

Shipped in the container originally provided.

Shipping cost is the consumer’s responsibility unless noted elsewhere.

WARRANTY AND RETURN PROCEDURES:

Warrantees expressed by Used-Engines.org assures components are protected from defects in material and craftsmanship upon proper installation and under reasonable (normal) use (wear and tear) and service for time and for the distance relative to the terms and conditions as follows unless expressly noted otherwise:

Terms of Warranty:

Repair or replacement of defective component remains the option upon the discretion of Used-Engines.org under the following provisions:

Within 90 days and unlimited miles (unless expressly stated otherwise) for parts initiated from the date of delivery. This warranty does not include or cover accessories or parts or attachments. These included (but not limited to):

I. distributor(s), alternator(s), starter(s),

II. timing belt(s) on a belt-driven engine(s) as well as accompanying seal(s)

III. exhaust manifold(s), carburetor system(s),

IV. water pump(s), thermostat(s),

V. clutch, flywheel

 

Warranties are not available or not included under coverage for:

Mazda rotary,

High performance and/or racing engines or

Related transmissions

Warrantees on used transmissions are applicable from the date of delivery for 90 days and only for parts. Among those not guaranteed include:

Torque converters

Electrical switches

Wiring systems

Shifting linkages

Accumulation of surface rust is reasonable and customary in any housing environment because of the intrinsic nature of the engine, transmission, or transfer case’s materials. Thus, we do not provide a warrantee against rust when it does not hinder performance expectations of the part sold.

 

The obligations of consumer for guarantee is as follows:

Installation of the following:

I. Coolant (and tune-up)

II. Spark plugs,

III. New oil,

IV. Oil filter,

V. Thermostat,

The following also applies:

I. The radiator must have been rotted out by a qualified technician

II. New water hose(s) must have been installed

III. New water pump(s) must have been installed

IV. New seals and gaskets must have been installed

 

The varying design nature of Japanese models require the customer to alter, change or convert designated components such as (but not limited to) the oil pan, oil pick up tube, dipstick, flywheel, clutch assembly, distributor, smog devices, et. al. The specific requirements for the make and model must have been met sufficiently.

All smog devices shall have been re-installed.

New timing belt(s) with proper cam timing are required on all engines equipped with a timing belt prior to installation. See limitation (1d).

Valve clearance and tune up must have been checked and performed.

Verification of parts for adequacy, amplitude and application prior to installation is the customer’s responsibility. We will not be held liable for components installed improperly or from the result of errors within/from order placement, packaging and/or shipping.

An ASE certified technician must have verified and overseen the entire installation process.

All claims shall have been filed initially with a representative from Used-Engines.org. A Return Authorization Number (RAN) must be assigned before any unit can be returned. Ensuring the product is returned to its original condition and assembled as originally delivered is the customer’s responsibility.

 

LIMITATIONS

1-The following is not included in warranty or guarantee:

Replacements or repairs stemming from:

 

i. Accidents

ii. Misuse

iii. Collision

iv. Upset

v. Fire

vi. Negligence

vii. Alteration

viii. Racing events

ix. Improper Installation

x. Repair

Cost of labor,

lost time or wages,

tow charges or fees,

freight expenses, rental fees,

insurance claim fees, et. al.

Oil spills or leakage,

Dissipated head gasket(s) and/or overheating from substandard cooling system.

Genuflected valves, violent engine cessation or exhaust discharge from defective timing belt(s) or improper cam time setting. New timing is essential on any belt-driven engines before placement.

Centralized adulterations or interior marring because of objects released into combustion chambers. 2-Assemblage of long block interior that is covered includes:

Piston Pins

Crankshaft and Main Bearings

Oil Pump

Connecting Rods and Rod Bearings

Camshaft and Camshaft Bearings

Timing Chain and Timing Gears

Valve Springs

Push Rods

Rocker Arms

Pistons and piston rings

Hydraulic Lifters

Intake and Exhaust Valves

Rocker Arm Shafts

When damaged by these parts listed the engine block and cylinder heads are covered.

 

RETURNS/CANCELLATIONS:

All cancellations resulting after delivery hold the customer liable for return shipping charges plus a 20% surcharge. Notification of damages is required within 24 hours preceding delivery for the purpose of obtaining a claim from the originating freight line. All litigations shall be resolved within the city of Jacksonville in the state of Florida.

 

READ: PROCEDURES OF PLACEMENT OF USED ENGINE FOR LIMITED WARRANTY.

The term “long block” is applicable to all sales of used engines of which includes the cylinder heads, engine block and its accompanying internal devices. Warrantees are not applicable to attached amendments or accessories (unless otherwise noted on the sales order). The customer with their discernment of its purpose shall determine the utilization of these accessories. Used-Engines.org is not responsible for additional charges or labor costs involved in the placement process stemming from requirements of certain engines utilizing parts only obtained from the original engine.

 

PRE-INSTALLATION VERIFICATION PROCESS:

Freight drivers must note damages on delivery ticket for authorization purposes. Please perform inspection and note its condition prior to dismissing the delivery driver. Then, notify Used-Engines.org of any damage if necessary. Notification should be immediate if they are severe. Proper identification of specified long block is essential by comparing both new and old engines. Contact your sales representative at 1-888-289-0651 immediately of any variances between them.

Identification of change-over parts can be readily assessed by removing the old engine and placing it directly aside for the replacement. Note necessary changeovers. Timing devices require replacement should the mileage be over factory specification for the individual timing belt or timing chain. Be certain to identify the mileage. Bolted accessories should be inspected. Identify crumbly, frail, or leaky gaskets. These should be replaced if found in this condition. At this time, the accessories needed off your old engine should be changed over to the new.

All warranties are void on engines with premature failures from installation of damaged parts. Therefore, do not insert any engine with such damaged devices including (but not limited to):

valve cover(s) or

oil pan(s)

engine mount(s)

timing cover(s)

manifold(s).

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION:

Perform a coolant system flush

Clean or Replace:

Oil Strainer

Oil Pan Gasket

Pick Screen

Oil pan Gasket

Rear Main Seal

Oil (per mfg.’s specifications)

Oil Filter

All routine maintenance items should be replaced at time of installation including:

Timing Belts

Water Pump

Thermostat

Spark Plugs

Fluids

Seals

Restore water hoses and/or vacuum lines.

Prime the Oil system verifying adequate oil pressure before start-up.

Verification of cooling system is imperative while placing new products.

Verification of electrical system conductivity is imperative during placement of new products.

Replacement of valve cover gasket(s) shall be performed when necessary.

Installation of new belt(s) and hose(s) shall be required.

Pre-installation requirements for extending the longevity of your transmission and warranty protection beneath ordinary driving conditions:

Note: Alterations to wiring, linkages and speedometer gears/sensors maybe be required when crossing over between years or models. Comparisons need be made in advance.

Front crankshaft seal(s) and axle seal(s) shall be displaced with new ones

Placement(s) of the new transmission filter kit is required.

Flush transmission(s) and perform inspection.

Refill proper fluid levels to manufacturer specifications.

Installation of torque converter is required with proper positioning.

Throttle position sensor cable needs to be adapted properly.

Warranty For Remanufactured Engines:

 

1-Terms of Limited Warranty

 

Long Block-3 years warranty except For:

Hummer H3, Mazda, Kia, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Volkswagen.

 

These Engines will have a one-year parts replacement warranty unless noted. (Ask us about our extended warranty)

 

V. Remanufactured Engines Warranty Coverage Terms and Conditions:

The warranty covers only defects in our workmanship, or materials supplied by Engine Nexus LLC on long block assemblies.

To qualify for warranty, registration card must be filled out and mailed (CERTIFIED MAIL) within 5 days of signing shipping receipt from the freight company delivering the engine.

 

Engine Nexus LLC reserves the right to either authorize repair or replacement under warranty.

 

No work will be covered under Engine Nexus LLC warranty unless the work is authorized.

 

When repairs are made, replacement parts will be supplied by Engine Nexus LLC, whenever possible or practical.

 

Before any engine or part of the long block assembly is pulled out of chasis for warranty diagnostic, a letter authorizing the removal must be received from Engine Nexus LLC.

 

Any unauthorized removal of the long bock assembly or part of the long block assembly will NOT be covered under the warranty.

 

After Engine Nexus LLC authorizes specific engine repairs or part replacements, the persons/company doing the repairs are responsible from that point on for the repair/installation work performed.

 

Only engine parts supplied by Engine Nexus LLC will be warranted.

 

receipt is signed. Timing belts are covered under this warranty for only the first (60) days following the date the shipping receipt is signed. Water pumps carry a one-year warranty ONLY. Broken crankshafts are not covered under warranty.

 

Engine Nexus LLC requires oil changes at 500 Miles after the installation and then 1000 miles must be performed, or warranty will be void.

 

Every Remanufactured Engine (no matter of Make or Model and no matter what the Driver’s Manual s asking for,) must change the oil in 3000 Miles otherwise warranty is voided.

 

The following are not covered under this warranty:

 

car rental, towing charges, oil, gas, anti-freeze, A/C charge, A/C coolant, oil filters, oil coolers, or any other accessories, loss of time, hotel or motel accommodation, food, or freight charges, etc.

 

Oil leaks are covered under this warranty for only the first (60) days following the date the shipping In the event of a warranty claim, customer must furnish receipts as proof that all service and maintenance work pertaining to the long block, such as oil and filter changes, replacement of air filter, coolant, belts, hoses, PCV valve, tune-up and ignition parts, etc. as set forth by the original equipment manufacturer of the customer’s vehicle, has been performed according to schedule. ALL receipts must be imprinted with the repair facility’s name, address, and telephone number and have preprinted repair order numbers or they will not be accepted.  Handwritten receipts are not acceptable. Failure to maintain and service engine in accordance with the original equipment manufactures’ specifications and schedule or failure to retain and furnish all receipts for work performed, including parts and labor will void warranty.

 

 

In the event of major long block failure, long blocks must be returned to Engine Nexus LLC out of chassis, out of boat, or out of any type of machinery. No replacement engine will be shipped prior to the return of the damaged engine to Engine Nexus LLC. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

 

 

In the event that any provision of this warranty should be or become invalid or unenforceable because of any laws, the remaining terms and condition hereof shall remain in full force and effect.

 

VI. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

 

Engine Nexus LLC warranty shall not apply in the following circumstances:

 

Engines damaged through tampering, lack of oil or coolant, improper installation, or failure of an auxiliary unit such as oil cooler and lines (if applicable) must be replaced, carburetor, distributor, water pump, thermostat, air cleaner, fuel pump, etc.

 

Head gasket failure due to engine overheating and/or detonation, abuse, or misuse.

 

Damage resulting from pre-ignition or pre-detonation. This includes, but is not limited to melted pistons, broken pistons rings, damaged cylinder heads, leaking head gaskets, etc.

 

Engines used as stationary engines, racing or HI performance engines, in snowplows, ambulances, rescue vehicles, or competition and similar uses.

 

Where crankshaft thrust bearing failure occurs in vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions and the failure is due to faulty torque converters, cracked flex hoses, or improper installation of the transmission.

 

Where crankshaft thrust bearing failure occurs in vehicles equipped with standard transmissions and the failure is due to faulty transmission installation or improper clutch adjustment.

 

Broken crankshafts

 

Damage caused by fragments, screws, and other foreign materials entering the long block through the intake manifold.

 

Failure to replace oil coolers and flushing radiators.

 

Damage due to misuse, neglect, accident, or abuse (i.e., over-revving, overheating, debris, etc.).

 

Damage due to overly rich or lean fuel mixture.

 

Damage occurring to the engine as a result of overheating, lack of lubrication, contamination, or foreign matter entering the engine.

 

Heat tabs that are melted or missing from engine

 

If your vehicle is a Class A motor home or truck 11,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW).

 

Any product to which a device or accessory does not conform to the original manufacturer’s specification has been installed. (i.e., after market headers, handheld tuner devices and/or any aftermarket performance enhancing devices)

 

Damage as a result of electrolysis, including but not limited to deterioration of engine components as a result of excessive electrical current or improperly maintained coolant, and/or any product on which periodic maintenance services required by the original manufacturer have not been performed.

 

When the long block assembly is not the same as the original equipment. For example, a 400 cubic inch Chevrolet engine is sometimes substituted for a 350 cubic inch engine and vice versa. Since the operating characteristics of the substituted long block differs from the original, the component parts such as cylinder heads, carburetor, air breathing system, etc. do not correspond to the long block being substituted and failure can result.

 

The Engine Nexus LLC warranty does not cover any failure caused by any components not supplied as part of any long purchased.

 

Our warranty does not cover any failures or problems caused by improper installation, abuse, or failure to maintain routine maintenance or by improper clutch or torque convertor adjustment.

 

Our warranty does not cover engines converted to Alternate Fuels

 

Our warranty does not cover the engines that are not installed within sixty (60) days of the date the shipping receipt is signed.

 

 

VII. Limitations of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Engine Nexus LLC shall not be liable to the buyer, or any other party, for incidental, consequential or any other indirect loss or damage or for lost profits of revenues of any kind, at any time and for any reason, arising out of this agreement or any other obligation resulting from this agreement, whether the action arises out of breach of contract, tort, fraud, or any other theory or basis.

 

 

VIII. Forum Selection Clause and Choice of Law:

 

 

THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE GOVERNED BY LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF FLORIDA.  IN THE EVENT THE COURT DETERMINS THAT ANY PROVISIONS OF THIS WARRANTY IS UNENFORCEABLE OR INVALID, THE REMAINING TERMS SHALL BE ENFORCEABLE AND VALID.

 

 

 

In the event customer fails to pay for materials and services rendered or otherwise breaches the contract and the matter is referred to an attorney, customer shall be obligated to pay to SHAR ALL costs of collections, including 33% attorney’s fees and finance charges of 1.5% per month (annual rate of 18%). The warranty provided by Engine Nexus LLC shall be governed by the laws of Florida. The parties agree that the exclusive venue for any action related to the work, payment, warranty or any matter regarding the dealings of the parties shall be in the Dual country, City of Jacksonville, Florida.  In the event any party brings any action in a different venue, such party shall be liable to Engine Nexus LLC for all damages, including but not limited to the amount of any judgment obtained in any venue other than Jacksonville, FL and all attorney fees incurred in defending the action in another venue or bringing suit for damages as a result of the breach. Returned Checks (or payment of any kind or form that is rejected or reversed) shall incur an additional fee of $50.00 per item regardless of the reason(s)

 

Merger Clause

 

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any previous communications between Engine Nexus LLC and the buyer with respect to Engine Nexus LLC.

 

X.  Waiver:

 

Any failure or delay in exercising any right or remedy will not constitute a waiver.

 

XI. Late Delivery:

Engine Nexus LLC will not be liable for late delivery of any Engine Nexus LLC Remanufactured Engine, including any replacement engine provided pursuant to the Limited Warranty.

 

 

 

 XII.  Notice of Claim:

 

Any buyer, who wishes to make a claim pursuant to the Limited Warranty, shall provide notice to Nexus Engine LLC
